Metro Umpires KC provides sporting officials for the Kansas City metropolitan and surrounding areas. Kansas City is known for hosting major youth/adult leagues and tournaments, and we supply officials for all levels of play. Whether you're a coach, athletic director, league official, scheduler or board member tasked with the responsibility of providing officials, please let us know if we can be of service to you!

Clinics

Umpire training

Join our team! Becoming a Metro Umpire is an exciting and rewarding way to become active in the Kansas City area while also earning some extra income. Our umpires are trained using the Sporting News Major League Rules. NCAA, High School Federation, Legion, Pony, USSSA and Little League rules are all discussed in our clinics. We provide umpire clinics on Sundays at 6310 Kelly Drive, Kansas City, MO 64152 (map). A Metro Umpire is also trained in public relations and customer service, as well as game administration and rulebooks.

We recruit and train umpires year-round. With our new assignment system, our umpires each get their own private website where they can chat with other umpires, view their scheduled games or partner information, and even pick their own games! All-sport registration is $60 for new officials and $55 for returning officials. Single-sport registration for soccer, football or basketball is $30 (not applicable to baseball, softball or fast-pitch softball).

Adult leagues

Slow pitch softball

The KC Metro Softball League is an Open USSSA sanctioned league. All teams are welcome to come enjoy a competitive and fun atmosphere. These evening leagues include men's (Sunday) and coed (Sunday or Monday) at Tiffany Hills Sports Complex. Session start/end dates may change due to rainouts. Each session includes 6 weeks double-hitter games and a single-elimination tournament.

Why play?
• All teams that play receive USSSA points.
• All players are medically insured by the league.
• Balls are provided by the league.
• An end-of-season tournament is included in registration fees.
